Amherst Neighbors is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring a group tour of the Yiddish Book Center, located on the Hampshire College campus in Amherst. The Yiddish Book Center is a cultural institution dedicated to the preservation of books in the Yiddish language, a well as the culture and history those books represent. In 2014, the Yiddish Book Center was awarded a National Medal for
Museums and Libraries, the nation’s highest medal conferred on a museum or library, at a White House ceremony.
Members of Amherst Neighbors will be given a private tour, learning about the history of the museum as well as being able to view the groundbreaking exhibit, A Global Culture.
