In light of COVID-19 and state guidelines, Amherst Neighbors has developed online virtual ways of gathering. We look forward to one day offering in person programs

Amherst Neighbors creates virtual social and educational opportunities by and for members, including monthly writing, gardening groups, book discussion, social justice presentations, and discussions on relevant topics.

Programs led by Amherst Neighbors are intended to entertain and educate, and include monthly coffee gatherings, a speaker series and more.

Interest Groups, started by members who want to get together around a certain interest, are listed on this website. Any member can join or start one. Some examples are: social distant hiking, biking, knitting and gardening.

Due to COVID-19 and state guidelines, in person volunteer services are not being offered at this time.
Amherst Neighbors looks forward to offering services as neighbors helping neighbors. All of our volunteer services will be FREE. We will rely on volunteers from the area. Any member over 55 residing in Amherst or Pelham who has had a Welcome Visit will be able to use our services.

Volunteers in Amherst Neighbors can be any adult who wants to make a difference in an older adult’s life. More information can be found on the Volunteers page. Become a Volunteer
