In-person event - Community Conversation, Sage Stage of Life: Empowering Older Adults through Supportive Conversations hosted by the Western Mass Department of Mental Health, Pioneer Valley Coalition for Suicide Prevention, and the Hadley Council on Aging. This event will take place at the Hadley Senior Center on Wednesday, March 6th from 1 – 4:30 pm. Space is limited and online registration is required. To register online, click HERE.

This event will provide an opportunity for supportive conversations and skill-building for older adults, local organizations, and community members. With expert guidance, together we will explore four topics: isolation and connection, sex and love in the later years, and grief and loss, stigma and emotional wellness, with older adult clients, friends, family members, and as older adults.

This discussion will include a panel and conversation groups on any one of the four topics. Panelists include:

  • Dr. Jane Mildred, Amherst Neighbors, on Isolation and Connection
  • Tammy Nothe-Hebert, Center for Human Development, on Sex and Love
  • Maureen Callahan Smith, author, on Grief and Loss
  • Colleen Sondrini, The Brien Center, on Stigma and Emotional Wellness
