What is this?
During this presentation Laura will share her experience training to become a death doula, sitting with people who are alone at the end of life, and her mission to help people live more fully by embracing our mortality. Her workshops and public speaking on topics of death positivity are part of a project she calls “A Year to Matter Less."
Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh, MS, is an American writer and mental health advocate from Amherst, Massachusetts. She has been founding organizations to solve problems all her life, including three international non-profits. She is the author of four books, and has produced three podcast projects, and is currently serving as Death Doula in residence at Historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington DC. She enjoys being old, and doesn’t mind being mortal.
