Join us for a conversation with Dr. Donald Wise, Professor Emeritus at UMass, Amherst. Dr. Wise has published research on tectonic problems of the Earth, Moon, and Mars. At the time of the first Apollo landing, he was chief scientist of a small office in NASA that linked its scientific and engineering halves for the first extra-terrestrial “field trip.” This talk will combine some personal tales from Apollo days along with a first peek through this newly opened window onto the lost era of the earliest Earth and birth of the Moon.
