Ailene is one of the primary spokespeople in the Solo Aging movement. She has done presentations at Northampton Neighbors and the Cambridge Public Library, and she is a knowledgeable, engaging speaker. Solo Agers are defined as "An adult 55+ who, because of choice or circumstance, is without the support of adult children or close family members".
