Did you know that October 1 is the International Day of Older Persons?  To celebrate a successful first year plus of Amherst Neighbors and us older persons, AN is holding a community gathering via zoom. Three speakers, Pat Romney, Mindy Domb, and Jo Comerford will address different factors that contribute to living well as we grow older and what we can do to enhance healthy and engaged living for all of us as a community. The Amherst Area Gospel Choir will provide music.  Time for questions and meet and greet with participants will take place between 3:30 and 4:00. The Amherst Council on Aging and Pelham Council on Aging are co-sponsoring this event.

Unfortunately, we cannot share food via zoom; however, please do bring a beverage and snack to enjoy and toast us all.

Pat Romney is a Clinical and Organizational Psychologist, with a private practice specialty with older adults and consultation practice for equity, strategic planning, and leadership.

Mindy Domb is State Representative for the 3rd Hampshire District of Amherst, Pelham and Granby.  In the past legislative session, Mindy has co-sponsored many bills advancing equity for a wide range of community populations.

Jo Comerford is State Senator representing the Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester County District.  In this past legislative session, Jo has filed three bills that improve care for older adults as well as many other bills for her district population.
