Clubland: Singer-storyteller Eshu Bumpus sheds a little light in honor of MLK Jr.

Renowned storyteller, Eshu Bumpus, will explore techniques for telling stories to your (or anybody's) grandchildren. Together we will explore ideas for telling familiar stories (Grimm’s, Andersen’s, etc.), creating your own versions of stories, putting your grandchildren in the stories, combining your personal stories with folktales, and playing story games together. We’ll have fun and develop confidence with storytelling. Until we gather, click here to see Eshu telling a story - The Little Girl That Got AwayListen

Eshu is a renowned storyteller, an accomplished jazz vocalist and a master at physical characterization. He has performed on the Exchange Place stage at the National Festival (1998), and performed 36 sold out shows in 13 days at the Smithsonian (1997). After appearing at the 10 Annual Connecticut Storytelling Festival (1991), Eshu was acclaimed as," … a fresh, responsible and knowledgeable voice... distinct and compelling... the hit of the Festival.
