“This was a Poet”: A Virtual Tour of the Emily Dickinson Museum July 1 from 4-5:30.
Brooke Steinhauser, Program Director, for the Emily Dickinson Museum will offer an illustrated talk about the life and times of Amherst's most beloved poet as we explore the historic Homestead where she was born in 1830, where she died in 1886, and where she produced her life's work of nearly 2000 poems. During this virtual tour you'll get a sneak peek into the Museum's ongoing work to restore the Homestead to its 1850s appearance, and to preserve The Evergreens next door - a nineteenth-century time capsule and home to Dickinson's brother and his family. Brooke Steinhauser has been Program Director at the Museum for six years where she oversees visitor experience and public programming.
