Caroline Murray
Caroline Murray, the founder and CEO of Innovative Organizing, is a visionary and results-focused leader with over 35 years of experience on the frontlines as an organizer, strategist, and economic development practitioner across the movements for social, racial, and economic justice.
Caroline has led numerous local, state, and federal campaigns resulting in many key policy victories of our time-delivering real improvements to the lives of everyday people-as well as developing deep, authentic, and transformative grassroots leadership and power within marginalized communities. She has appeared on numerous national networks, including NPR, CNN, MSNBC, Good Morning America, Fox News, and the O’Reilly Factor. She now focuses her time advising movement organizations across the country and mentoring the next generation of organizers.
Caroline has lived in Amherst for 40 years and is the proud mother of two daughters who speak truth to power through art and activism. She enjoys spending time with her glorious grandchild, cooking, traveling, and building the beloved community. She is excited to bring her relational organizing skills to Amherst Neighbors.
