About this event
Imagine a glorious fall morning walking along the Silvio O. Conte nature trail. Beautiful and accessible, the trail is part boardwalk and part pressed crushed gravel. The trail crams half a dozen ecosystems into a 1.1-mile loop. While most of the trail is flat, parts are moderately uphill. Benches offer a chance to pause, admire the view, and talk with the presenter.
Presenter: Elizabeth Vierling
Elizabeth Vierling is an enthusiastic lover of nature and a distinguished professor of biochemistry & molecular biology at UMass. Retired from teaching, Elizabeth now runs a research lab examining how plants respond to the environment on the molecular and cellular level.
