About this event
Intro to Cloud Spotting is a one-hour, interactive Zoom session for anyone who enjoys the ever-changing sky. You will learn about the global cloud spotting community, basic cloud classification, how to start collecting clouds (a wonderful, free intergenerational activity), the problem with "blue sky thinking," and how best to photograph clouds. Participants will also be invited to share a recent cloud photograph. The presenter, Sharon Vardatira, is the person behind Head in the Clouds Amherst, a local community of cloud spotters, photographers, dreamers, and nature-lovers. She is also a long-time member of the International Cloud Appreciation Society (CAS), and she co-facilitates CAS’s Massachusetts group.
