What is this?
Dr. Shirley Jackson Whitaker, medical specialist, community activist, artist, creator of "Ashes to Ashes," will discuss her latest project "Local Efforts to Fight Voter Suppression in the South: The Tote2Vote Project. " This project aims to help reduce or eliminate voter suppression by providing voters with basic nourishment for long voter lines, and education on how to overcome draconian restrictions that often make it impossible to exercise one's right to vote. We'll hear about the original conception of the idea, it's spread, and how things went on November 8!
